The Warriors pulled within a run in the top of the fourth with a four-run rally.  Senior Kiley Lewandowski (Ypsilanti, Mich. / Lincoln) and freshman Logan Forman (Brantford, Ont.) began the frame with back-to-back singles, before senior Shelby Miller (Georgetown, Ont.) delivered an RBI single up the middle.  A lineout double play was followed by singles from freshman Mia Hool (Allen Park, Mich.) and sophomore Madison Martinez (Hemlock, Mich.).  Junior Rylie Josephson (West Bloomfield, Mich. / Walled Lake Central) cleared the bases with a three-run double to left center.

The Bulldogs answered with two runs on a walk and consecutive RBI singles by Jadyn Joseph and Kozlowski.

In the top of the seventh, Josephson had a leadoff walk and graduate student Becky Hodder (Orangeville, Ont.) was hit by a 1-2 pitch.  Senior Abby Favela (Riverside, Ill. / Riverside-Brookfield) followed with a bunt single to load the bases.  Josephson scored on a fielder's choice, but the next two batters were retired with the tying run on base.

The next inning, FSU tacked on three more runs on a one-out walk followed by an RBI triple from Kozlowski.  After a double steal plated one run, a pair of walks sandwiched around a double came before an RBI single from Brooklyn Verbeek.

In the top of the fourth, Forman had a one-out triple and scored on a single by Buckberger.

The Bulldogs scored their final three runs in the bottom of the fourth on a rally that started after the first two batters grounded out.  A single and a walk set the table for a two-run triple off the bat of Keelin Wheaton, who scored on a single by Joseph.

Josephson led off the top of the fifth with a walk, and moved to second on a pinch-hit single by freshman Molly Hool (Allen Park, Mich.).  With two outs, sophomore Kennedy Cole (Hopkins, Mich. / Wayland Union) had an infield single to score Josephson.
