DETROIT -- The Wayne State University volleyball team (3-6 overall, 1-1 GLIAC) hosted No. 9 Ferris State (9-0 overall, 2-0 GLIAC) on Saturday afternoon inside the Matthaei Center. The Bulldogs defeated the Warriors in straight sets.

HOW IT HAPPENED (21-25, 18-25, 18-25)
- Ferris State's offense hit .372 with 52 kills and 10 errors on 113 total attacks.
- Wayne State responded with a .273 clip of its own, 41 kills, 11 mishaps and 110 swings.
- WSU's best individual period for efficiency came in the opening stanza at .350.
- That set, Wayne State rattled off 18 kills and only four errors on 40 total attacks.
- The Warriors didn't record a service ace for the first time since Sept. 11, 2021 at Southern Indiana.

Kayla Dulgar notched her third double-double of the season and second in her last three matches.
- Against Ferris State, the sophomore accounted for 35 assists and 12 digs in three sets.

Kayla Giroux continued to play well with a .524 hitting percentage, 12 kills and just one error on 21 swings.

Molly Miller also tallied 12 kills with four errors on 31 total attacks for a clip of .258.
