Five Football Student-Athletes Receive Honorable Mention All-GLIAC Accolades

DETROIT -- Five members of the 2025 Wayne State University football squad were named Honorable Mention All-GLIAC as announced by the league office earlier this afternoon.

Garnering all-conference recognition were redshirt freshman wide receiver Drew Hickmott (Ortonville, Mich. / Ortonville Brandon [Michigan]), redshirt junior outside linebacker Logan McGraw (Wyandotte, Mich. / Roosevelt [Hutchinson C.C.]), redshirt senior wide receiver Justyz Tuggle (Redford, Mich. / Detroit Central [Bethune-Cookman]), redshirt sophomore running back XaVior Tyus (Portage, Mich. / Portage Northern), and senior middle linebacker Martell Williams (Hillside, Ill. / Proviso West [Norfolk State]).

Tuggle started all 11 contests for Wayne State and led the squad in receptions (42) and receiving yards (439).  In addition to throwing a touchdown pass vs. Michigan Tech, he had at least one catch in all 11 games this fall.  Tuggle set season-bests in catches (7 vs. Michigan Tech) and receiving yards (79 vs. Quincy).  He ranked fifth in the GLIAC in receptions and eighth in receiving yards.

Tyus totaled a team-best 357 rushing yards during the season, while ranking second on the squad in receptions (27).  He had a touchdown run against Davenport and a TD reception at Northern Michigan.  Tyus also led the team in all-purpose yards with 532.
