UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. -- Trailing two sets to none on Saturday afternoon, the Wayne State University volleyball team (19-5 overall, 11-3 GLIAC) came all the way back to defeat Saginaw Valley State (8-18 overall, 2-12 GLIAC) with the reverse sweep. Thanks to the victory, the Warriors improved to 5-0 in five-set matches this season.
"Life on the road in this conference is very challenging," said head coach
Tim Koth. "A lot of credit should be given to SVSU for the effort and preparation they put in to this match. But the Warriors dug deep and found a way, led by Kayla (Giroux) and Kayla (Dulgar). To turn this match around and come back to the D with the win, I'm very proud of their effort.
