Ryan Kelley and the Wayne State University baseball program have unveiled their schedule for the 2025 season. The Warriors are slated to play a 50-game regular season schedule, which includes 33 contests against NCAA Midwest Region foes, 24 within the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) and 13 at the friendly confines of Harwell Field.
The campaign gets underway on Feb. 7-9 with a four-game set in South Carolina at Newberry of the South Atlantic Conference (SAC). Then Wayne State will head to Mason, Ohio for a neutral four-game series vs. Ohio Dominican on Feb. 22-23 at Prasco Park's Legacy Field.
The Warriors will make their annual trip to Florida for the RussMatt Invitational with 11 games in 10 days on March 6-15. Their six opponents include Ashland, Point Park (doubleheader), Malone, Wayne State College, Minnesota State-Mankato (two games), and Minnesota Duluth (two doubleheaders).
Following a four-gamer at Florida Southern of the Sunshine State Conference (SSC) on March 21-23, league play will commence for WSU. Wayne State's first conference action will be at Purdue Northwest on March 28-30. The GLIAC slate as a whole consists of six four-game sets against each of the other six squads, including three at home (Roosevelt, Davenport, Parkside) and three on the road (PNW, Saginaw Valley State, Grand Valley State).
The Warriors will also face Findlay three times, April 1 (home opener), April 8 (away) and April 29 (away).
The postseason kicks off with the GLIAC Tournament on May 8-11 to be played at Jackson Field in Lansing, Mich., home of the Lansing Lugnuts, High-A affiliate of the Athletics.
