WINTER HAVEN, Fla. -- The Wayne State University baseball team's (6-6 overall) offense racked up 21 runs on 24 hits in a 21-3 blowout victory against Malone (6-6 overall) on Saturday evening in The Sunshine State.  Those 24 hits are the program's most since May 1, 2021 at Purdue Northwest and the Warriors achieved 20+ runs for the first time since 22 on April 7, 2023, also at PNW (22-6).

Four different WSU batters collected three hits apiece including Owen Tuccinardi (Ann Arbor, Mich. / Skyline), Reagan Paulina (Highland, Mich. / Detroit Catholic Central [Oakland]), Tony Hatzigeorgiou (Oxford, Mich.), and Aidan Arbogast (Livonia, Mich. / Livonia Stevenson [Mid-Michigan C.C. / Kellogg C.C. / Eastern Michigan]).

Drew Dawson (Plymouth, Mich.), who was 1-for-2 with a run scored, notched the first hit of his career with a two-run double to center field in the fifth.  Also tallying his first base knock as a Warrior was Noah Murciano (Richmond Hill, Ont. / Bill Crothers S.S.[Sussex County C.C. / Coppin State]) thanks to an RBI double in the fifth before coming around to score.

On the mound, five different hurlers saw action including Rocco Cardinale (Grosse Pointe Woods, Mich. / Grosse Pointe North), Braylon Laroo (Canton, Mich. / Detroit Catholic Central), Coy Plummer (New Hudson, Mich. / South Lyon), Keegan Pulford-Thorpe (Aurora, Ont. / Newmarket [Central Florida / Georgia Highlands College]), and Oscar Pace (Brighton, Mich. / Hartland).
