Women's Track & Field Concludes California Trip; Begins Competition At Oakland University

Thomas breaks own school record in 400m hurdles.

WOMEN'S TRACK AND FIELD --Members of the Wayne State University women's outdoor track and field squad competed at three different meets on Friday. At the Azusa Pacific Bryan Clay Invitational, redshirt sophomore Keneisha Thomas broke her own school record in the 400m hurdles. Graduate student Taylor Hopkins posted the sixth-fastest 1,500m time at the La Verne Leopard Invitational, while freshman Megan Zahnow notched the fifth-fastest time in the 100m hurdles event. In addition, the 4x400m relay quartet of Elyse Miller, Avery Wilson, Thomas and Makenzie Wellner posted the second-fastest time in program history which was also an NCAA Provisional mark.
