DETROIT -- The Wayne State University women's tennis program, under the direction of Yahsha Thompson, returns after its third-consecutive NCAA Quarterfinal appearance last season and will begin 2026 with a home exhibition match on Friday, January 23.

The NCAA regular season will start the weekend of January 31, as the Green and Gold face a pair of in-region foes, Drury and Rockhurst, on January 31 and February 1.  Both matches will be at UIndy.

The Warriors will return home to host the University of Findlay (Feb. 14), before hitting the road once more to compete at Eastern Michigan (Feb. 22).  Then, WSU will welcome Hillsdale to the Doris J. and Donald L. Duchene, Sr. Athletic Facility for its final match before spring break on Saturday, February 28.

Wayne State's spring break trip will once again be in Florida, as the squad will face Flagler (Mar. 13), Nova Southeastern (Mar. 15), and Barry (Mar. 16).

WSU will host Oakland on March 21, before starting GLIAC play the following weekend (Mar. 28) at Davenport.

The Warriors will play their final non-conference match of the year, with UIndy coming to Detroit on Friday, April 3.

The Green and Gold will have a trio of home conference matches, hosting Michigan Tech (Apr. 4), Purdue Northwest (Apr. 10), and Roosevelt (Apr. 11), before closing the regular season on the road at Grand Valley State and Ferris State on April 17 and 18 respectively.

The GLIAC Tournament is scheduled for April 24-26 in Midland, Mich.  The Green and Gold will aim to qualify for the NCAA Midwest Regional, which will be May 8 and 9.

The Warriors will play Saginaw Valley State as well, with a date and time yet to be confirmed.
