The Warriors improved to 10-1-3 with road win over the Lakers.

CHICAGO -- The Wayne State University women's soccer team (10-1-3 overall, 6-1-3 GLIAC) traveled to Roosevelt on Sunday afternoon and earned a 3-0 victory following the road tilt.  The win moved the Warriors into a tie-for-first place in the league standings with Grand Valley State and clinched them a berth into the GLIAC Tournament.

HOW IT HAPPENED
FIRST HALF
The Warriors took a 1-0 lead in the 39th minute as Roosevelt's goal kick was headed by redshirt senior Reagan Brengman (Harrison Township, Mich. / Warren Regina [Northwood]) and landed at the feet of Olivia Jasniewicz (Troy, Mich.), who finished the opportunity at 38:25 to put Wayne State on the board.

SECOND HALF
WSU extended its lead to 2-0 in the 59th minute as Maya Bjedov (Brighton, Mich.) played a high ball forward that Mairin Wessner (Northville, Mich. [Dayton]) chased down before finishing with her right foot into the lower-left corner of the net at 58:29

Lola Battaglia (Almont, Mich.) added an insurance goal at 87:24, outrunning a defender off a pass from Morgan Koskinen (Waterford, Mich. / Waterford Mott), and scoring into the lower-right corner to secure the 3-0 victory.  The goal marked the first of Battaglia's career.
