FROM HEAD COACH BRYAN MORROW
"It was a really close and tough match, Charleston is a strong team that is deservingly ranked in the top-25. We played very clean in doubles, George (Day) and Thomas (Mathys) were the first pair to finish, Harry (Forsyth) and Luis (Klaus) had an early lead in their match before the UC duo started to storm back, but they did a nice job closing out for the win. I was very proud of Harry and Luis, beating a strong, nationally-ranked doubles team, and it was important to get the doubles point in this match."
"George started really hot in singles, the energy within the building was incredible. The support from the team as a whole was absolutely outstanding. George played a very smart and very solid match. Luis started well and was in a very competitive match all around, neither had a true lead as it was very back-and-forth, but he ended up gutting it out and that eventually clinched the match for us. Tom (Wasner) fell in a really tough and hard-fought match. Ben (Hill) was really impressive in coming back in his match."
"The resilience that everyone showed on every court was outstanding. Our team's ability to battle through adversity and continue to fight no matter the circumstance was very impressive. I am proud of the entire team, from the guys that competed on the court to the guys that were giving support from off of the court."
