Women's Indoor Track & Field Heads To GLIAC Championships

DETROIT -- The Wayne State University women's indoor track and field squad will be heading to the 2026 GLIAC Championships this Saturday and Sunday hosted by Saginaw Valley State University.

Saturday's competition will include the women's pentathlon (starting at 10 AM), the 5,000m run final (5 PM) and the Distance Medley Relay final (6:20 PM), along with prelims for the 60m Hurdles (3:35 PM), 400m dash (4 PM), 60m dash (4:30 PM), and 200m dash (5:50 PM). Field events on Saturday include the weight throw (2:45 PM) and long jump (3 PM).

Sunday's field events include the high jump (10:30 AM), shot put (11 AM), and triple jump (11:30 AM). Running events on Sunday include the mile (12:15 PM), 60m Hurdles final (12:45 PM), 400m dash final (1 PM), 60m dash final (1:15 PM), 800m run final (1:30 PM), 200m dash final (1:50 PM), 3,000m run final (2 PM), and 4x400m relay final (2:50 PM).

Each school is limited to a 30-person roster for the GLIAC Indoor Championships.
