The Warriors shot 26 strokes better in the second round than the first (306 to 332).

BATAVIA, Ohio -- In its first action of the spring schedule and of 2026 as a whole, the Wayne State University women's golf squad completed day one and the first two rounds of Northern Kentucky's The Julie Invitational on Monday evening at Elks Run GC. In a field with 10 Division I programs out of the 12 participating programs, the Warriors finished the afternoon with a 36-hole score of 638 (+70, 332-306) to place fifth with one round remaining on Tuesday.

Individually, the sole member of the Green and Gold in the top 10 is redshirt sophomore Clara Laffitte (Montevideo, Uruguay / Colegio Seminario), who ranks tied-for-sixth overall out of 66 student-athletes that played both rounds. Laffitte shot an eight-over 79 in the first go-around, before improving in round two by five strokes to card a three-over 74 (+11, 153 for both rounds).
