DETROIT -- The regular season is over and the postseason is here for the 2025-26 Wayne State University women's golf team. The Warriors will be one of eight squads playing at Stonehedge North Golf Course in Augusta, Mich. on Saturday and Sunday for the 2026 GLIAC Championships.
Coach's Corner
"The team and I are really looking forward to competing at the Stonehedge North Golf Course," said head coach
Larry Hamilton. "We played well there this fall and we've had some really good history there. We also should be able to get outside this week and practice, which always helps. I think everyone's game is really starting to come together at the right time."
Tournament Format
The eight-team field will play 36 holes on day one followed by 18 more on the morning of day two for the Stroke Play Championship, which determines the individual Medalist Honor. Then Sunday afternoon, the top two teams from those 54 holes will go head-to-head for 18 more and the Medal Match Play Championship.
