Women's Golf Qualifies for NCAA East Regional

The event will be hosted by Findlay at the Findlay Country Club in Ohio.

DETROIT -- For the eighth consecutive time the event is being held, the Wayne State University women's golf team has been selected to participate in the NCAA East Regional. The 2026 East Regional will be held on May 4-6 in Findlay, Ohio at the Findlay Country Club, per a release from the NCAA on Sunday evening.  The Warriors will enter the postseason as the 14th seed among 18 qualifying teams in the region, which is the same spot they were in for the most-recent rankings prior to the GLIAC Championship.

2025: 6th/18 (932) / Ting-Yu Kuo qualified for the NCAA Championships as an individual.
2024: 13th/15 (989)
2023: 4th/15 (902) / 18th/18 (944) at NCAA Championships
2022: 8th/15 (944)
2021: 6th/9 (986)
2019: 9th/12 (967)
2018: 12th/12 (975)

All participants will compete through 54 holes of competition. The top five (central), four (south), four (east) and five (west) teams along with the top two individuals not on an advancing team will advance to the National Championships.

The number of teams and individuals from non-qualifying teams at each regional are as follows: 
Central Regional: 18 teams; 6 individuals;
East Regional: 18 teams, 6 individuals;
South Regional: 18 teams, 6 individuals; and
West Regional: 18 teams, 6 individuals.

The championships will be held May 12-16 at the PGA National Resort in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. The number of participants that qualify for the finals is 98.
