Women's Outdoor Track & Field Travels To GVSU Al Owens Classic

DETROIT -- The Wayne State University women's outdoor track and field squad will continue its 2026 season this Friday and Saturday at the GVSU Al Owens Classic in Allendale.

Three events (hammer, javelin and triple jump) will be contested on Friday starting at noon. On Saturday, field events begin at 11 AM with the shot put, discus, long jump and high jump. The running events will also begin at 11 AM on Saturday with the 100m hurdles, 100m dash prelims, and the 5K. The remaining running events are scheduled to start at 1 PM - 4x100m relay, 1,500m run, 400m dash, 100m hurdle finals, 100m dash finals, 800m run, 400m hurdles, 200m dash, and 4x400m relay.
