Softball To Host Prospect Camp On August 7th

DETROIT -- The Wayne State University softball program will be hosting a one-day prospects camp on Friday, August 7th.

This camp will allow participants to work with the Wayne State coaching staff, along with the current 2026-2027 softball student athletes.  Campers will be given opportunities to demonstrate offense, defense, pitching, catching, and base running through participation in drill work in the morning. There will be a question-and-answer session with our softball student athletes throughout the day and during station rotation.  There will be live games in the afternoon, and all registered campers will receive a Wayne State t-shirt.

Time:  9:00 AM to 3:30 PM

Check-In time:  8:15 AM to 8:45 AM

Price:  $120 per person (including camp T-shirt)

Age Group Welcome:  Graduation years 2028-2030

Gender:  Female

Schedule of Events:

8:15 AM to 8:59 AM - Registration in Softball Lobby
9:00 AM to 9:10 AM - Introductions in Softball Grandstands
9:15 AM to 9:20 AM - Warm-up at Respective Station Location
9:20 AM to 11:58 AM - Morning Skills Showcase Rotations
12:00 PM to 12:45 PM - Lunch Break (please bring lunch or snack)
1:00 PM to 3:20 PM - Afternoon Live Game Play
3:25 PM to 3:30 PM - Wrap-up in Softball Grandstands

*No Metal Cleats allowed, please bring Turfs or Molded Cleats with you*

Please remember to bring with you:  Helmet, Glove, Bat, Catchers Gear (if applicable), Face Mask, Refillable Water Bottle, Turf Shoes, Indoor Running Shoes and a lunch/snack. - please make sure you label your equipment. 

*In case of weather, we will utilize the Doris J. & Donald L. Duchene, Sr. (Indoor) Athletic Facility*

There are also three documents (Consent to Treatment & Waiver; Health Form; and Parent Athlete Info Sheet) that need to be completed and brought with you to camp, that are located at this link.
