DETROIT -- Sixth-year head coach
Larry Hamilton and the Wayne State University women's golf team have unveiled their fall schedule for the 2026-27 campaign. The Warriors will play in five tournaments before the calendar year is over, including three in the month of September and two more in October.
"This fall for us, is about getting after it right away," said coach Hamilton. "We return plenty of experience as well as bring in some very capable players, so we hope to compete at a high level early and often. That starts with these five tournaments in the fall and seeing what we're about before the calendar flips to 2026 and the 'Championship' portion of our season."
The 13th season of WSU women's golf begins on Sept. 14-15 for Ferris State's Bulldog Fall Classic at Katke Golf Course in Big Rapids, Mich. The Green and Gold will then host their third annual Warrior Invitational on Sept. 21-22 at Orchards Golf Club in Washington, Mich. Rounding out the month of September for Wayne State will be Grand Valley State's Gilda's Club Laker Fall Invite on Sept. 26-28 at The Meadows Golf Course in Allendale, Mich.
Moving into the month of October, the Warriors will play at Findlay's William Beall Fall Classic on Oct. 5-6 at Findlay Country Club in Findlay, Ohio. WSU's fifth and final tournament of the fall slate will be the Davenport Panther Invitational on Oct. 17-18 at Stonehedge North Golf Course in Augusta, Mich.
Stonehedge North will once again be the sight of the GLIAC Championships, which are to be played on April 16-18.
