WSU Athletics Announces 2026 Hall of Fame Class - 50th Anniversary Class

DETROIT -- Six former Wayne State University student-athletes have been selected for induction into the Wayne State University Athletic Hall of Fame.  The class of 2026 includes four-time All-GLIAC baseball infielder Brad Baldwin (2015-18), the second-leading scorer in women's basketball history Nastassja Chambers (2016-20), All-American football defensive back Matt Di Dio (1979-83), 24-time All-American swimmer Kristian Larsen (2010-14), softball All-American third baseman Jade McGarr (2013-16), and All-American golfer Brendan Seys (2016-20).

"Celebrating our 50th Hall of Fame class is an incredible milestone and a powerful reminder of the people who have shaped Wayne State Athletics throughout our history," commented WSU Director of Athletics Erika Wallace.  "From the Tartars to the Warriors, generations of student-athletes, coaches and contributors have built a tradition that we are incredibly proud to carry forward.  This class represents another remarkable chapter in that history, and as we celebrate this milestone year, we look forward to sharing an exciting new chapter for our Hall of Fame in the months ahead."

The WSU Athletic Hall of Fame membership will increase to 286 individuals and one team with the inductions this October.

THE WAYNE STATE ATHLETIC HALL OF FAME INDUCTION CEREMONY WILL TAKE PLACE ON FRIDAY, OCTOBER 9 AT the GM Wintergarden.  BANQUET TICKETS ARE AVAILABLE FOR $75 (Includes football game ticket the next day) BY CLICKING HERE.  The induction class will also be introduced at the October 10th Homecoming football game vs. Roosevelt.  

The induction ceremony will start at 6 p.m. at the GM Wintergarden located in the Renaissance Center.
