WASHINGTON, Mich. -- The Wayne State University women's golf team is in prime position following day one and the first 36 holes of its very own third annual Warrior Invitational.  Playing at The Orchards Golf Club among 13 other squads, the Warriors are in second place after carding a 43-over 619 (305-314) on Monday, 13 strokes behind Ashland in the top spot.

"I'm super proud of how we played," said head coach Larry Hamilton.  "We put ourselves in a really good position again this week after the first two rounds and I've got a good feeling about today."
