WASHINGTON, Mich. -- The Wayne State University women's golf team wrapped up play in its very own third annual Warrior Invitational on Tuesday afternoon at The Orchards Golf Club.  The Warriors placed second in the 14-team field with a 59-over 923 (305-314-304), 10 strokes behind Ashland in the top spot.

Individually, Ting-Yu Kuo (Taipei, Taiwan / Taipei Municipal Zhong-zheng Senior) garnered runner-up honors by just one stroke for the second time in as many tournaments.  She came up short to AJ Powell of Parkside, also for the second time in as many tournaments.

"I'm really proud of the team today," said head coach Larry Hamilton.  "It was very cold with a lot of wind.  Despite the weather, we still got four scores in the 70s and finished second amongst a strong field.  Ting-Ting had another great tournament with her second-place finish individually.  I think she's really close to getting her first victory of the year."
