ALLENDALE, Mich. -- The Wayne State University women's golf squad is in third place amongst a 16-team field following the first day of play at Grand Valley State's 18th Annual Gilda's Club Laker Fall Invite.  The Warriors carded a 20-over 308 through the first 18 holes, nine shots outside of Findlay at the top.

"We had some really great stretches of play today," said head coach Larry Hamilton.  "Everyone stayed focused and finished their rounds, which leaves us in a good position for the next two days."
