Selected as a candidate for the CSCAA centennial list of 100 Greatest Swimmers & Divers.

2011-12:  NCAA CHAMPIONSHIPS:  Compiled seven All-America honors including six First Team … won national championships in the three sprint freestyle events for the second straight year … finished first in the 50 free (19.47) and set an NCAA record in the 100 free (42.61) … broke the NCAA record in the 200 free twice, once in the individual event (1:35.61) and again (1:35.05) leading the third-place 800 free relay (6:32.49; school record) … led off the fifth-place 200 free relay (1:21.59) and the 400 free relay which finished sixth (2:59.24) … anchored the 11th-place 200 medley relay (1:30.08).  GLIAC CHAMPIONSHIPS:  Named GLIAC Men’s Swimming and Diving Athlete of the Year for the second straight season … won all three sprint freestyle events for the second year in a row … was a five-time conference champion in 2012, leading a pair of first-place relays … broke his own GLIAC record in the 50 free (19.72) … broke his own league and meet records as well as the Jenison pool record in the 100 free (43.38) … set pool and meet marks in the 200 free (1:37.37) … led off the first-place 200 (1:22.07) and 400 (2:59.33) free relays, the latter breaking meet and pool records … anchored the third-place 400 medley relay (3:19.94).  SEASON:  Competed in 11 meets … named Counsilman-Hunsaker Division II Swimmer of the Week (Feb. 15) by CollegeSwimming.com following the GLIAC Championships … competed at the USA Swimming AT&T Winter National Championships at the Georgia Tech Aquatic Center in early December ... named to the GLIAC All-Academic Team and the CSCAA Scholar All-America Team.

2010-11:  NCAA CHAMPIONSHIPS: Voted Division II Male Swimmer of the Year by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America … also named Counsilman-Hunsaker National Collegiate Division II Swimmer of the Week by CollegeSwimming.com … earned a team-best seven First Team All-America accolades … was a three-time national champion, winning the 50, 100 and 200 freestyle events … also joined four top-six relays … broke his own school record in the 50 free three times, first at 19.53 in the individual event … went 19.44 in the prelims and 19.39 (NCAA meet record) in the finals to lead off the 200 free relay … also broke his own school record in the 100 free three times, first with a time of 43.59 in the prelims and 43.51 in the preliminary 400 free relay … established an NCAA meet record in the 100 free championship final (42.91) … set a school record in the 200 free (1:36.03) … led off the third-place 400 free relay (2:59.98) and the 200 free relay which tied for fifth (1:21.80) … anchored the 200 medley (1:30.09) and 400 medley (3:18.19) relays, both finishing sixth. GLIAC CHAMPIONSHIPS: Voted GLIAC Men’s Swimming and Diving Athlete of the Year … was a five-time conference champion, winning three individual events (50, 100, 200 free) and joining two first-place relays (200 free, 400 free) … became the first swimmer in program history to break the 20-second mark in the 50 free, doing so leading off the 200 free relay (19.97) and again in the individual 50 free (19.61) … set GLIAC meet records in the 50 free (19.61), 100 free (44.35) and 200 free (1:39.01) … led off the first-place 200 free relay (1:21.67, meet record) and 400 free relay (3:02.11) … anchored the second-place 400 medley relay (3:20.21) and the fourth-place 200 medley relay (1:31.70). SEASON: Named GLIAC Men's Swimming and Diving Athlete of the Week (Nov. 15) and CollegeSwimming.com Counsilman-Hunsaker National Collegiate Division II Swimmer of the Week after posting three NCAA “B” cuts and setting two pool records Nov. 12 against Calvin ... won the 200 freestyle in a “B” time of 1:40.32, breaking teammate Joaquin Abascal Gallegos’ pool record (1:41.43) ... also made a “B” cut in the 50 free (20.33) leading off the 200 free relay, besting the pool record of 20.39 set by Cole Tedhams of Indianapolis in 2005 ... improved his prior "B" time with a first-place time of 45.21 in the 100 free ... broke school records for the first time in the 50 free (20.03) and the 100 free (43.80) at Kenyon Total Performance Invitational ... top time in the 100 butterfly (50.70) Jan. 8 at Grand Valley State ... named to the GLIAC All-Academic Team.

2009-10: Made WSU debut Jan. 22 at Eastern Michigan, making NCAA “B” qualifiers in both the 50 free (20.84) and 100 free (46.34), finishing first in both … anchored the disqualified 200 medley relay on the first night of the GLIAC Championships and was injured, ending his season.

Pre-WSU: Competed in the Russian Cup the last two years, taking second place in the 200 free relay in 2008 and earning two gold medals (500 free, 200 free relay) and a silver (50 free) in 2009 ... also swam at the World Championships in 2007, the Russian Championships in 2005-06, and the European Jr. Championships in 2003-05 ... attended Saint-Petersburg University of Water Communications for three years, but was not a student-athlete.

High School: Graduated from Saint-Petersburg Olympic Reserve School in June 2004.
