2007-08: NCAA CHAMPIONSHIP: Earned four First Team All-America accolades and two national championships ... surpassed national and school records with a winning time of 54.74 in the 100 breaststroke ... became Wayne State's first swimming individual national champion since 1941 and its first ever while in Division II ... broke his own school record in the 200 breaststroke, finishing third (2:00.23) ... swam the breaststroke in the first-place 200 medley relay (1:30.49), the first national champion relay in school history, and the fourth-place 400 medley relay (3:21.62) ... was also in the preliminary 200 free relay, which qualified 10th and set a school record of 1:23.26 later broken in the finals.
GLIAC CHAMPIONSHIP: Defended his conference title in the 100 breaststroke (55.56), breaking his own school and GLIAC records ... posted a first-place time of 2:02.98 in the 200 breaststroke, eclipsing his own WSU record and breaking the previous GLIAC mark set in 1988 by .79 seconds ... finished 10th in the 50 freestyle (21.81) ... swam the breaststroke leg of the second-place 200 medley relay (1:32.54).
2006-07: NCAA CHAMPIONSHIP: Earned four First Team All-America honors ... broke his own school records in the 100 (55.84) and 200 (2:03.36) breaststroke, finishing in second place in both events ... also swam the breaststroke leg in the second-place 200 medley relay (1:30.21), which set a school record and also came in under the previous national record (1:30.27) but was behind North Dakota's first-place time of 1:29.86, and the third-place 400 medley relay (3:19.86), which also set a school record. GLIAC CHAMPIONSHIP: Won the 100 breaststroke (56.69), setting new school and GLIAC records, and the 200 breaststroke (2:04.49) ... earned NCAA "A" cuts in both events ... finished ninth in the 50 free (21.90) ... swam the breaststroke portion of the first-place 200 medley relay (1:32.00) and 400 medley relay (3:24.08), both of which set WSU and GLIAC records. SEASON: Was on all four combinations to break Wayne State's 200 medley relay record during the course of the year, including at the Eastern Michigan Invitational (1:32.61) and against Ashland (1:32.39, also setting a Matthaei pool record).
