Junior forward Sam Cherney (Farmington Hills, Mich. / North Farmington) posted three double-doubles this past week as Wayne State went 3-0 to climb the GLIAC standings. She tallied 17 points and 11 rebounds on Friday against Parkside before finishing with 21 points and 18 boards on Saturday vs. the Rangers.

Cherney was named GLIAC South Division Player of the Week on Monday before posting career-highs in rebounds (19) and blocks (8) to gow ith 12 points as WSU ended a 12-game losing streak vs. Ashland on Tuesday night.
