Makayla Sumrall had an outstanding two-day stretch in Texas (March 25-26). On Friday, March 25th, Sumrall broke the school record in the 100m dash, recording a time of 11.80. The next day, she broke that record by crossing the finish line in 11.79. Â
In the 200m dash, Sumrall posted the second-fastest time in school history (24.77), just .02 off of Dazmonique Carr's mark of 24.75 set on April 23, 2016, at the GVSU Al Owens Classic. Sumrall finished 14th in the event.Â
