After an impressive first week of competition which resulted in a flight B singles championship at the Chargers Summer Invitational on Sept. 6-7, Martyna Szpakowska didn't miss a beat this week.  She and her doubles partner, Malak Arafat, claimed victory in the flight A doubles championship at this year's ITA Regional Championship.  With that win, Szpakowska and Arafat earned a spot in the ITA Cup in October.  Along with her doubles success, Szpakowska made a deep run in singles competition.  The junior finished the weekend with a 4-1 record in singles. Szpakowska's sole loss was in the semifinals against the eventual regional champion.
