Freshman Ella Hufnagel (Fowler, Mich.), in her first collegiate meet, posted the second-highest pentathlon score in school history (3,067) trailing only Sydney Vaughn's 3,191 set at the 2016 GLIAC Championships at Tiffin.  Ella is only the third person in program history to eclipse 3,000 points joining Callie Brower (3,021 - 2014 GLIACs at Hillsdale) and Vaughn.  She was fourth in the high jump (1.56m), long jump (5.16m) and 800m run (2:38.58), while placing seventh in the shot put (9.25m) and 14th in the 60m hurdles (10.03) amongst the pentathlon competitors.
