* GAME STORYLINES
The Wayne State women's basketball team returns home to the Matthaei on a two-game winning streak after picking up a pair of wins last weekend over Saginaw Valley and Lake Superior.

The Warriors have a busy week ahead of them in addition to hosting the top two teams in the GLIAC South in Hillsdale and Findlay.

Thursday's game vs. Hillsdale will be televised on Comcast Local (channel 900) throughout the state of Michigan and on Saturday WSU will be taking part in one of the Women's Basketball Coaches Association's “Pink Zone” games.

“Pink Zone” represents the WBCA's efforts to assist in raising breast cancer awareness on the court, across campuses and in communities. WSU will also be wearing pink jerseys on Saturday.

* ON THE BENCH
Gloria Bradley is in her 10th season at WSU and 17th season overall. Bradley's record at Wayne State is 114-152 while her career record stands at 228-221.

In her time at Wayne State, Bradley is 5-16 against Hillsdale and 12-7 vs. Findlay.

Eighth-year head coach Claudette Charney is 146-71 at Hillsdale.

Leading the first-place Oilers is Kate Cummings. Now in her fourth year at Findlay, Cummings has a career record of 45-55 and has two straight winning seasons.

* SERIES NOTES

Even though WSU has won just three of the past 10 games against Hillsdale the all-time series remains close with the Chargers holding a narrow 32-29 lead.

HC defeated Wayne State 70-56 at Hillsdale this season after three Chargers scored in double figures. Sophomore guard Kiara Smith scored a career-high 15 points for the Warriors.

Earlier this season Findlay broke a tie with Wayne State to take a 14-13 advantage in the all-time series with a 62-53 win at home. Laura Bardall scored a game-high 22 points for the Oilers while WSU was paced by junior guard Chelsea Kouri who had 10 points and four rebounds.

Winners of the past seven games played between the two schools at the Matthaei, the Warriors have done an admirable job defending their home court against Findlay.

*WSU NOTES
-WSU ranks 61st out of 300 teams in Division II with 17.0 turnovers per game.

-Few freshmen in the GLIAC have been playing as well as forward Deanna Crumpton as of late. In the past four games, Crumpton has shot 54.3 percent from the field while averaging 13.8 points, 5.3 rebounds and one assist a game.

-Wayne State has used four different starting lineups the past four games.

* SCOUTING HILLSDALE
Hillsdale enters the weekend second in the GLIAC South Division, but also on a two-game losing streak. Four Chargers average at least 10 ppg with Chelsea Harrison leading the way at 15.9 ppg.

As a team, HC ranks second in the GLIAC in three-point percentage (37.1) and second in assists (16.1 apg).

* SCOUTING FINDLAY
The GLIAC South leading Oilers have won three of their past four games. Bardall leads Findlay in scoring (16.1 ppg), rebounding (5.1 rpg) and assists (4.1 apg).

The Oilers are third in the GLIAC in field goal percentage (43.5) and assists (15.5 apg).

* RECENT RESULTS

WSU's past two wins over LSSU (72-67) and Saginaw Valley (73-62) have been memorable ones. Not only were they the first road victories of the year, but they also represent Wayne State's first back-to-back wins of the season.

Wayne State's recent success can be partly attributed to its shooting (45.1 percent the last two games) and defense (42 opponent turnovers in two games).
