* GAME STORYLINES
Wayne State will be tested this week when it travels to face the top two teams in the GLIAC South Division, Hillsdale and Findlay.
The Warriors take on the Chargers at 8:00 p.m. Thursday night.
From there, WSU heads to Ohio to play the division-leading Oilers for the second time in a week. Wayne State fell to Findlay at home last Saturday (1/8), 69-42. Tip-off is set for 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
* ON THE BENCH
Gloria Bradley, the longest tenured women's basketball coach in Wayne State University history, is in her 11th season at WSU and her 18th as a head coach. Bradley's record at WSU is 119-165, while her career record stands at 233-234. Her 233 wins ranks 47th amongst active coaches in Division II.
Claudette Charney, in her ninth season at Hillsdale, is the longest-tenured and winningest coach in GLIAC women's basketball history. Charney's overall record at Hillsdale is 160-76, while her career record sits at 468-263.
Kate Cummings is in her fifth season as the head coach of the Oilers women's basketball teams and 16th overall. Last season, she guided the Oilers to a 22-9 record as they captured the GLIAC South Division title for the first time since the 1999-00 season. Cummings record at Findlay is 60-63.
* SERIES NOTES
Wayne State trails Hillsdale in the all-time series, 33-29. The Chargers have won eight of the past nine meetings with the Warriors. WSU's last win over HC was in the first round of the GLIAC Tournament on Mar. 1, 2008, when Hillsdale was the No. 1 seed.
With last Saturday's win, Findlay took a one-game lead in the all-time series, 15-14. Despite the loss, the Warriors have faired well in recent memory, winning 11 of the last 17 meetings with the Oilers.
* WARRIOR NOTEBOOK

Tyler Hardy has been a spark off the bench this season, scoring double-figures in 10 of Wayne State's 12 games. Hardy missed the Findlay game with an injury. She scored 13 points and collected a career-high six rebounds vs. Saint Joseph's (12/29). She scored 22 points and 19 points, both game-highs, in wins over Ohio Dominican (12/16) and Tiffin (12/18) to earn the GLIAC South Player of the Week award (12/20). She tallied 15 second-half points in in both games. Hardy leads the Warriors in scoring at 15.5 ppg, which is sixth best in the GLIAC.

Kiara Smith tied a career-high with 17 points versus Findlay (1/8). It was the seventh time Smith has hit double-figures this season. Her first 17-point effort took place at Wisconsin-Parkside (11/21). Smith is the Warriors second-leading scorer (10.7 ppg.) and leads the team in assists per game (2.9).
* SCOUTING HILLSDALE
Hillsdale has gone 4-3 since starting the season 5-0. Hillsdale moved into a tie with Tiffin for second place in the GLIAC South, following the Chargers' 79-65 loss to TU on Saturday. It was Hillsdale's first loss to Tiffin since the Dragons joined the GLIAC.
Chelsea Harrison led the Chargers in scoring with 18 points and Lea Jones added 15 points and collected a team-high 10 rebounds.
Prior to the loss, the Chargers put together back-to-back dramatic wins over Ohio Dominican and Ashland.
Hillsdale closed overtime on a 9-0 run, defeating ODU, 61-57. Laura Barczak had 20 points and nine rebounds, while Harrison scored 19 and collected six rebounds.
HC overcame a 23-point second-half deficit in its 80-77 win over Ashland on Dec. 19. Barczak led with a game-high 27 points, Harrison scored 24 and Katie Bildner added 10 points.
The Chargers are third in the GLIAC in scoring (72.7 ppg).
* SCOUTING FINDLAY
With its win over the Warriors last Saturday, Findlay moved to 9-3 overall and kept its division lead with a 5-1 record in the GLIAC South. Laura Bardall was one of four Oilers to score in double-digits, finishing with 16 points and six rebounds.
The Oilers fell 59-56 to the University of Puerto Rico-Bayamon on Dec. 29 in San Juan. The Oilers shot 39 percent (16-of-41) from the floor and turned the ball over 24 times as junior guards Bardall and Clare Aubry both had 11 points.
Bardall scored 17 points in a 71-51 loss at Tiffin on Dec. 16 to become the 18th player to top 1,000 career points at Findlay. Aubry and Bardall lead the Oilers in scoring, averaging 14.9 and 14.8 ppg, respectively.
UF has held its opponents to only 57.7 ppg, while it has scored 68.7 ppg.
The Oilers are connecting on 46.1 percent of their field goal attempts, while holding the opposition to 35.5 percent.
* LAST TIME OUT
The Warriors shot a season-low 25.4 percent from the field on their way to a 69-42 defeat on Saturday afternoon against visiting Findlay.
In addition to playing the GLIAC South Division Leaders, who finished the game shooting 49.1% from the floor, the Warriors were without two of their top three leading scorers, Hardy (15.5 ppg) and
Deanna Crumpton. Both were sidelined with injuries.
Kiara Smith did her best to fill in for her teammates as she tied a career-high with 17 points on 7-of-18 shooting.
Jumping out to a 35-23 halftime lead, Findlay went on to outscore WSU 34-19 in the final 20 minutes. The Oilers used a 14-7 run, capped by a lay-up from Tai Dotson, to take a 49-30 lead with 14:50 remaining. Wayne State would be held without a field goal over the next five minutes, while the Oilers added 10 points to their total. WSU ended the game on an 11-10 spurt to complete the scoring.
