KALAMAZOO - The Wayne State University men's swimming and diving team defeated Kalamazoo College,
137-106, in a dual meet on Friday night.
Darrin Driesenga earned an NCAA national qualifier in one-meter diving (316.70) and narrowly missed his cut on the three-meter board (294.30). He finished second in both events.
Andrey Seryy won the 50 freestyle (20.89) joined both the 200 medley and 200 free relays, which finished in first place.
Other first-place finishers included
Kristian Larsen in the 200 free (1:44.50) and the 100 free (47.26);
Calvin Reder in the 1000 free (10:16.39);
Kyle Taylor in the 500 free (4:55.45); and
Joaquin Abascal Gallegos in the 100 breaststroke (59.21).
Wayne State will compete at Calvin College next Friday, Nov. 11, at 6:00 p.m.
