Aman Gill and Jason Chen post wins for the Warriors

INDIANAPOLIS -- Wayne State's men's tennis team continued its long road trip Friday evening and faced Southern Indiana (2-1) in Indianapolis. The Warriors (2-2) fell 7-2 to the Screaming Eagles in a match that saw four tie-breaker sets.

WSU was swept by USI in doubles, but the team of Melvin Joseph (Northville, Mich.) and Aman Gill (Windsor, Ont. / Assumption College HS) forced a tie-breaking set, falling 9-8 (7-3).

At singles, Gill won at the top position (2-6, 6-4, 12-10) over USI's Juan Quiroz. Jason Chen (Rochester Hills, Mich. / Rochester Adams) continued his modest two-match individual winning streak with a victory over Rodrigo Flores (6-3, 4-6, 14-12).

The Warriors will stay in the Midwest Region and head to Louisville, Ky. for an 11 AM tilt against Bellarmine Saturday morning.
