Men's Tennis Outmatched at Toledo

Toledo, Ohio - The Wayne State Men's tennis team (0-2) hit the road Friday to take on the University of Toledo as part of their pre-league schedule. The trip didn't garner the result the Warriors were looking for as they dropped a decision to the host Rockets.

The Green and Gold didn't suffer a total sweep however as the doubles tandem of Trey Keating (Troy, Mich. / Troy) and Thomas Ducret (Paris, France) did pick up a 8-4 victory in the third doubles seed. Division I scoring allows for only one point for a total team victory in doubles (best of the three matches earns the point).

The majority of the singles matches went unfinished but Melvin Joseph (Northville, Mich. / Northville ) and Jon Groszek (Dearborn Heights, Mich. / Divine Child) were each tied at two sets apiece in the fourth and fifth singles positions respectively when competition ended.

The Warriors will look to get healthy before hosting Indiana Tech on February 26th.
