The Warriors struggled to close out sets and SVSU won by set scores of 25-21, 25-18 and 25-20. The Cardinals outhit the Warriors .304 to .152 for the match.
Grace Frazee (Grand Rapids, Mich. / Grand Rapids Christian) and

SVSU led 16-11 before WSU would come back to tie the opening set at 17-17 on a Cardinal attack error. However, Saginaw Valley finished the set on an 8-4 run to collect the 25-21 victory.
The second set was tied at 8-8 before SVSU took a 13-9 lead. A block combination of Moore and Frazee would cut the home lead to 15-14. That would be as close as the Green & Gold would come the rest of the set. The Cardinals finished the game on a 10-4 run to win 25-18.
The Warriors began the third set leading 8-6. Weiss connected for a kill to keep WSU on top 12-11. Similar to the first two sets the Cardinals controlled the second half of the set. SVSU took a 15-12 lead after a 5-1 run. The Cards would handle the rest of the set and win 25-20.
