BIG RAPIDS, Mich.
-- The Wayne State State University men's tennis team dropped its second GLIAC match of the season Sunday, falling 6-3 against host Ferris State University.

The Warriors (6-7 overall, 5-2 GLIAC) entered the day as one of two teams in the GLIAC with just one league loss. Ferris State improved to 7-2 in the GLIAC with its victory.

Wayne State trailed 2-1 following doubles action, as Ferris State won two of the three matches. WSU earned its doubles victory at the No. 3 flight, as senior Melvin Joseph (Northville, Mich. / Northville) and sophomore Mohamed Fazyl Kechai (Paris, France / Martin Luther King) posted a 9-7 win.

The Bulldogs triumphed in four of the six singles matches to clinch the victory. Wayne State earned wins at No. 2 and No. 4 singles. At the second flight, freshman Stephane Robineau (Paris, France) won 7-5, 6-1 over Ferris State's Aaron Dial. Fazyl Kechai also earned a straight sets win for Wayne State, winning a second-set tiebreak in a 6-2, 7-6 (7-3) victory.
