ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Three members of the Wayne State University women's indoor track squad competed on Saturday at Michigan's Silverston Invitational.
Senior
Lauren Gagnon (Waterford, Mich. / Waterford Mott) set a personal best in the 3,000m placing second with a time of 10:17.21
Meanwhile, sophomore
Leah Coonrod (Kalamazoo, Mich. / Gull Lake) and senior
Kayla Smade (Columbus, Mich. / St. Clair) ran in the mile. Coonrod was eighth in a time of 5:12.55, while Smade finished 13th with a time of 5:31.00.
The Warriors indoor track and field team will conclude its season next Saturday (Feb. 28) and Sunday (March 1) at the GLIAC Championship meet being hosted by Saginaw Valley State University. Then on Tuesday, March 3, the NCAA will announce the selections for the 2015 NCAA Division II Indoor Track and Field National Championship meet to be held Friday and Saturday, March 13-14 at the CrossPlex in Birmingham, Ala.
