PLAINFIELD, Ill. -- The Wayne State University men's tennis squad (4-8 overall) fell, 9-0, to No. 45 Southern Indiana in the first day of the GLIAC/GLVC Crossover being held at Lewis University on Thursday afternoon.

DOUBLES RESULTS- Senior
Mohamed Fazyl Kechai (Paris, France) and freshman
Derek Sammons (Coldwater, Mich.) was defeated, 8-3, by Aaron Barris and James Hardiman at the third doubles flight, while sophomore
Harvey Reed (Winchester, England) and junior
Ryan Carlson (Armada, Mich.) lost, 8-2, to Jack Joyce and Joel Stern at No. 2 doubles.
- Junior
Clement Charriere (Marseille, France) and freshman
Taylor Vane (Southampton, England) was topped, 8-1, by Paul Forichon and Samuel Kiladejo at the first doubles position.

SINGLES RESULTS
- Charriere was beat in a close, 13-11, super tiebreaker (6-3, 1-6) by Hardiman at the second singles flight, and Kechai lost in two sets (6-1, 7-5) to Kiladejo at No. 1 singles.
- Vane fell, 6-3, 6-3, to Joyce at the third singles position, while Carlson was defeated by Forichon, 6-1, 6-3, at the fifth singles flight.
- Sammons was bested, 6-2, 6-1, by Ilia Karelin at No. 6 singles, and Reed fell, 6-2, 6-0, to Stern at the fourth singles flight.
