HILLSDALE, Mich. -- The Wayne State University men's tennis team (5-8, 2-1 GLIAC), defeated Hillsdale (9-7, 2-3 GLIAC) 5-4 in GLIAC conference play on Sunday. The win stalled the Chargers five match winning streak, propelling the Warriors into the top five in the conference.
SINGLES RESULTS

Mats Westkamp (Born, Germany) (7-5, 6-3), and
Clement Charriere (Marseille, France) (4-6, 6-4, 6-2), won their matches against Hillsdale's No. 1 and No. 2 singles players, respectively.

Taylor Vane (Southampton, England) (4-6, 2-6) and
Griffin Mertz (Farmington Hills, Mich. / North Farmington) (1-6, 4-6), lost their No. 3 and No. 4 singles matches, respectively.

Luke Ruocco (Lewis, England) and
Harvey Reed (Winchester, Hampshire, England) (6-2, 6-3) won against the Chargers No. 5 and 6 singles matches, respectively.
DOUBLES RESULTS
- Charriere and Vane was defeated by Hillsdale College's No. 1 doubles team 6-8.
- The duo of Westkamp and Mertz fell short to the Chargers No. 2 doubles team 5-8.
- Reed and
Ryan Carlson (Armada, Mich.) won their No. 3 doubles match 8-4.
