ALLENDALE – The Wayne State University men's tennis team concluded play at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Regional Championships Sunday, with three Warriors competing in the round of 16 at the event hosted by Grand Valley State University.
Sophomore
Jason Potter (Sterling Heights, Mich. / International Academy East) led the charge for Wayne State, advancing to the B Singles semifinal match before defaulting to Missouri-St.Louis' Albeto Maza. Potter defeated Hillsdale's Julien Clouette (4-6, 6-4, 10-4) in the round of 16 and then beat GVSU's DJ Colantone (6-1, 3-6, 11-9).
Senior
Harvey Reed (Winchester, Hampshire, England) was a quarterfinalist in the B division, winning 7-5, 6-1 over Kristoffer Lindal of Missouri-St. Louis before falling 6-1, 6-2 to Maryville's Louis Glaves. Glaves went on to win the championship.
Mats Westkamp, competing in the A Single division, lost to Dario Huber of Indianapolis in the round of 16 (7-5, 6-2).

The team will travel to Toledo to compete in the Toledo Invitational, slated to begin Friday, Sept. 29.
