Men's Tennis Defeats LSSU, 6-1

WSU will host Northwood on April 17.

Box Score SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich. -- The Wayne State University men's tennis team (5-6 overall, 4-2 GLIAC) won its match, 6-1, at Lake Superior State (0-6 overall, 0-4 GLIAC) on Monday morning at the Arbuckle Student Activity Center.
 
DOUBLES
 
Freshmen Daniel Grey (Wiesbaden, Germany) and David Pluszczyk (White Lake, Mich. / Lakeland) won at No. 2 doubles, 7-6 (5).
 
At No. 3 doubles, junior David Solar (Prague, Czech Republic) and freshman Joe Steele (Beverly Hills, Mich.) won their match, 6-3.
 
Sophomores Dom Spicer (London, England) and Luke Laws (Sunderland, England) fell 6-3 at No. 1 doubles.

SINGLES
 
At No. 1 singles, Spicer won 6-1, 7-6 (2).
 
Grey notched a victory at second singles, 6-4, 6-3.
 
At No. 3 singles, Laws won his match, 6-4, 6-3.
 
Solar won his fifth singles match, 6-1, 4-6, 10-7.
 
Steele was victorious in his No. 6 singles match, 6-0, 5-7, 10-7.
 
At No. 4 singles, Pluszczyk fell 6-0, 6-1.
