Men's Tennis Falls 5-2 At Division 1 Dayton

WSU will play at the GLIAC Championships starting this Friday.

Box Score DAYTON, Ohio -- The Wayne State University men's tennis team (6-7 overall) lost 5-2 at Division 1 Dayton (11-5 Overall) on Tuesday afternoon in a match played at the Graul Tennis Complex.
 
DOUBLES
 
At No. 3 doubles, freshmen Daniel Grey (Wiesbaden, Germany) and Joe Steele (Beverly Hills, Mich.) won their match, 7-6 (4).
 
Sophomores Dom Spicer (London, England) and Luke Laws (Sunderland, England) fell at No. 1 doubles, 6-1.
 
Juniors David Solar (Prague, Czech Republic) and Donovan Nguyen (Shelby Township, Mich. / Utica) lost 6-3 at No. 2 doubles.
 
SINGLES
 
At No. 3 singles, Laws won 6-2, 7-5.
 
Solar won his No. 5 singles match, 4-6, 6-2, 11-9.
 
At No. 1 singles, Spicer fell 6-3, 6-0.
 
At No. 2 singles, Grey lost 7-5, 6-1.
 
Nguyen fell at No. 6 singles, 6-0, 6-0.
 
Freshman David Pluszczyk (White Lake, Mich. / Lakeland) fell at No. 4 singles, 6-2, 6-1.
