The Warriors won seven events total.

UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. -- A day after defeating Calvin, the Wayne State University men's swimming and diving team took down Saginaw Valley State by a final score of 108-97. 

INDIVIDUAL RESULTS
Clayton Kinnard (Dexter, Mich.) kicked off the individual events with a win in the 100 IM, posting a time of 52.31.  Michael Wolsek (Trenton, Mich.) and Noah Barstad (Allen Park, Mich.) finished first and second, respectively, in the 50 free.  Wolsek had the winning time of 21.24, while Barstad touched out in 21.82.  Later in the meet, Wolsek and Barstad again had first- and second-place finishes.  This time in the 100 free.  Wolsek earned the top time of 47.00, while Barstad tallied a 48.37.

Diving wise, Jeffrey Cottingham, Jr. (Dearborn, Mich. / Edsel Ford) collected a second-place finish in the one-meter event, earning a score of 275.05.  In the three-meter dive, Grant Porter (Haslett, Mich.) placed second with a score of 276.15. 

Luka Cvetko (Varazdin, Croatia) and Abdelrahman Hassan (Cairo, Egypt) finished first and second, respectively, in the 50 fly.  Cvetko had a time of 23.23, while Hassan notched a time of 24.25.  Cvetko then won the 50 back with a time of 24.79.  Chris Spencer (Jackson, Mich. / Lumen Christi Catholic) took third in the same event, posting a time of 25.16.

To finish the individual events, Kinnard had a second-place finish in the 50 breast, notching a time of 26.34. 

RELAY RESULTS
The Warriors' team of Spencer, Joey Dombkowski (Canton, Mich. / Detroit Catholic Central), Ryan Kruger (Livonia, Mich. / Churchill) and Collin Che (Midland, Mich. / Dow) touched out in first in the 200 medley relay.  The quartet had a time of 1:38.36. 

Cvetko, Barstad, Wolsek and Kinnard took first (1:24.16) in the 200 free relay, while Spencer, Kruger, Reid Schoenherr (Macomb, Mich. / L'Anse Creuse North) and Dombkowski placed third (1:32.14). 

UP NEXT
The Warriors will again be at Saginaw Valley State, which will host the GLIAC Championships.  The GLIAC Championships will run from Feb. 4-7.
