Women's Golf Finishes Play at Gilda's Club Laker Fall Invite

A pair of Warriors earned top 20 results.

ALLENDALE, Mich. -- The Wayne State University women's golf program finished competition on Monday at the Gilda's Club Laker Fall Invite hosted by Grand Valley State. The Warriors placed seventh out of 15 teams with a two-day score of 641 (317, 324). The 36-hole event was played at The Meadows (Par 72 / 6,011 Yards).

LEADING THE WAY
Findlay won the tournament with a 607 (297, 310), while Emily Liptak from Walsh completed the wire-to-wire victory , shooting a 147 (71, 76).

WSU RESULTS
Both Sabel Imesch (Grosse Pointe Farms, Mich. / Grosse Pointe South) and Beca Vestman (Madrid, Spain) tied-for-15th with matching scores of 156. Imesch moved up nine spots on day two with a round of 78 after her 78 on Sunday. Vestman paired a 77 and a 79.

Avery Howard (Muskegon, Mich. / Reeths-Puffer) carded a 161 (78, 83).

Logan Potts (Norton Shores, Mich. / Mona Shores) tallied a 168 (84,84), while Natalie Groom (Orangevale, Calif. / El Camino Fundamental) finished with a 182 (86, 96).

Orianna Bylsma (Montague, Mich.) played as an individual and carded a 192 (88, 104).
