FROM COACH PETERS
"What a day! It started off with a wonderful celebration of our 11 seniors and super seniors and then our Warriors faced off against a wonderful opponent in Oakland. We gave it our all and came away with some amazing performances in the pool and on the boards. We were also able to recognize an amazing coach who is calling it a career, a Hall of Fame career at that, in Peter Hovland from OU. Finally, we saw our freestyle relays compete extremely well to cap off the afternoon and
Luka Cvetko broke his own pool record with a blazing 19.62. With that, and
Trevor Jones setting a pool record in the 200 free, we have a lot to look forward to as we prepare for the GLIAC Championships. I just can't say enough, though, on how proud I am of our seniors and super seniors for their leadership and determination. They've been through a lot these past few years and are making the most of it now!"
UP NEXT
Next up on the schedule for Wayne State is a head-to-head showdown against Grand Valley State on Saturday, Jan. 28 beginning at 1 p.m. in Allendale.
