DETROIT -- The Wayne State University volleyball team (9-13 overall, 4-7 GLIAC) pushed its winning streak to season-long four matches on Saturday afternoon after taking down Michigan Tech (10-12 overall, 6-5 GLIAC) in a five-set thriller.

HOW IT HAPPENED (-21, -18, 19-25, 21-25, -11)
- Just like Friday night, Wayne State came out of the gates hot taking the first two sets to go up 2-0 in the match.
- The Warriors hit .290 in the first on Saturday thanks to 15 kills and six errors on 31 total attacks.
- As good as they were in the opening stanza, they built on that by hitting .407 in the next period with 14 kills and only three errors on 27 swings.
- WSU trailed MTU by five to start, 18-13, before scoring 12 of the next 15 points to come back and win.
- In the second, the home team faced another deficit, this time it was 6-0.
- The Warriors responded with a 15-4 spurt to lead by five, 15-10.
- After that, the Huskies could never get closer than three, 15-12 and 16-13.
- Michigan Tech hit a match-best .371 in the third before a .303 clip in the fourth.
- With the Huskies carrying all of the momentum to the fifth, the Warriors punched back with a match-high .471 hitting percentage in the fifth.
- The fifth and final period was tied four times before Wayne State took the lead (6-5) for good.
LEADING THE WARRIORS
- Miller notched her fifth double-double of the season and first since Sept. 23.
- Dulgar reached a new career high for assists with 54, five more than her previous best.
- Four different Warriors racked up at least 11 kills including the three above and
Alexa Withun (Troy, Mich. / Athens).
- As coach Koth mention, Giroux was excellent with 16 kills and only four errors on 27 attempts for a .444 hitting percentage.
- Uganski and Withun were both efficient as well with clips of .280 and .346, respectively.
ONE BIG THING
- Michigan Tech hit .257 as a team, the highest clip by a Wayne State opponent this season for a match that the Warriors won.

Wayne State will make a midweek road trip to No. 17 Ferris State (18-4 overall, 11-0 GLIAC) on Wednesday with the opening serve scheduled for 6 p.m. in Big Rapids.
