DETROIT -- The Wayne State University men's and women's swimming and diving programs will make their 2023-24 home debut on Friday against Davenport and Ashland. Action against the Panthers and Eagles inside the Matthaei Natatorium is set to begin at 5 p.m.
"We are looking forward to hosting both Ashland and Davenport on Friday," said head coach
Sean Peters. "I am excited to see some amazing races and dives! Ashland is a top level G-MAC program and Davenport has been doing an amazing job at the GLIAC Championships. I am excited to start our season (again) and welcome everyone to the Matthaei pool.

Peters has begun his 27th season at the helm of WSU swimming and diving. As for the Panthers, they're led by seventh-year man Justin Vasquez, and the Eagles are coached by first-year leader Hueston Holder.
