DETROIT -- Four members of the 2022-23 Wayne State University women's golf squad received WGCA Scholar All-American accolades as announced by the organization.
To qualify, an individual must play in at least 50 percent of the team's rounds and have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.50.
Selected as a WGCA Scholar All-American were senior
Natalie Groom (Orangevale, Calif. / El Camino Fundamental), redshirt sophomore
Logan Potts (Norton Shores, Mich. / Mona Shores), senior
Avery Howard (Muskegon, Mich. / Reeths-Puffer), and junior
Beca Vestman (Madrid, Spain / Colegio Base).
Howard has been recognized all four seasons while Vestman is now a three-time honoree. Both Groom and Potts made the cut for a second-consective campaign.

CORAL SPRINGS, Florida -- The 2022-23 WGCA All-American Scholar Team was announced today with 1,401 women's collegiate golfers from 378 programs recognized with this prestigious honor.
About the Women's Golf Coaches Association
The Women's Golf Coaches Association, founded in 1983, is a non-profit organization representing women's collegiate golf coaches. The WGCA was formed to encourage the playing of college golf for women in correlation with a general objective of education and in accordance with the highest tradition of intercollegiate competition. Today, the WGCA represents over 700 coaches throughout the U.S. and is dedicated to educating, promoting and recognizing both its members and the student-athletes they represent.
