Katie Migliore Named Head Coach of Dance Team

DETROIT -- Katie Migliore has been named Wayne State University's Head Dance Coach.  A Detroit native, Migliore graduated from Central Michigan University in 2016 with a bachelor's degree in Psychology and minor in Dance.  While at CMU, she danced with the school's Department of Theatre and Dance.

"We're thrilled to have Katie as the Head Dance Coach here at Wayne State," said Associate Athletics Director for Marketing & Promotions Torria Robinson.  "She brings a wealth of knowledge and experience that will be invaluable to not only her team, but all involved with the WSU dance program."

Following her graduation, Katie was a member of the Detroit Lions Cheerleaders inaugural team in 2016-17.  She then went on to become the Head Dance Coach at Detroit Country Day Upper School, a position she still holds, and had a stint as a Ballroom teacher at the Dance on Main studio in Rochester Hills (2017-19).

Migliore has been dancing since the age of 13 and growing up, did so competitively at Planet Dance in Canton Township.  She's also a NASM certified personal trainer and is pursuing an Enhanced Performance Certification.

Katie has a son Mason and daughter Mila, and is recently engaged to her fiance Blake.
