Swim & Dive Squads to Compete at Findlay, Host Oakland for Senior Day

The Warriors will recognize 16 seniors prior to action on Saturday.

DETROIT -- The Wayne State University men's and women's swimming & diving programs will be in action twice this week.  Friday, the Warriors will be at Findlay for a 5 p.m. start against the Oilers (No. 9-ranked men, No. 13 women) before hosting Oakland on Saturday inside the Matthaei Natatorium for Senior Day 2024.

"Findlay is a remarkable program we get to face and I anticipate that it will be a fast meet," said head coach Sean Peters.  "I like that the Warriors will face great competition with both their women and men, and I will enjoy watching the strong races all around.  Both Findlay and Wayne State had quite a few representatives at the NCAA meet the last many years, and it will be exciting to see."

"Oakland is about as good as it gets as they've won their conference meets like almost 50 years in a row...well, pretty much," added Peters.  "Anyways, we welcome their illustrious program to Detroit, and look forward to competing with them on our Senior Day, which we'll recognize 16 amazing seniors and fifth-year student-athletes for.  I always love our Senior Day as it really is a celebration of amazing student-athletes that accomplish so much for this program and University.  It will be a wonderful weekend!"
