Women's Indoor Track & Field Announces Upcoming Schedule

DETROIT -- The Wayne State University women's indoor track and field squad, under the direction of eighth-year head coach Grant Lofdahl, has announced its schedule for the upcoming 2024-25 winter season.

The Warriors will have a two-day meet at Saginaw Valley State (SVSU Holiday Open) on December 6-7 to begin the season.

WSU will kick-off 2025 at the Findlay (Ohio) Alumni Classic on January 18.

The following Friday, Wayne State returns to University Center for the SVSU Doug Hansen Open.

The Warriors will make the trek the following weekend to Indianapolis.  The Indiana Farm Bureau Fall Creek Pavilion will host the Midwest Classic on January 31-February 1 as a precursor to the NCAA Championships.

Another road to SVSU on February 8 for the Warrior-Cardinal-Wildcat (W-C-W) triangular meet starts the stretch run of the indoor slate.

WSU is scheduled to send competitors to the GVSU Big Meet Friday (February 14) as well as the GVSU Big Meet Saturday (February 15).

Saginaw Valley State will host the SVSU Tune-Up on February 21 in the final meet of the regular season.

SVSU will also be the host site for the 2025 GLIAC Indoor Track and Field Championships on March 1-2.  The Warriors will be looking to improve upon last year's fifth-place finish and 62 points.

As mentioned previously, the NCAA Championships will be held at Indiana Farm Bureau Fall Creek Pavilion on March 14-15.
