Many Top-Notch Performances By Women's Track and Field

Gordon breaks 800m record for third straight week.

APRIL 17 -- Members of the Wayne State University women's outdoor track and field squad participated at three different competitions on Friday.

At the University of La Verne Leopard Invitational, sophomore Megan Zahnow placed fifth in the 100m hurdles.

At the Azusa Pacific Bryan Clay Invitational, graduate student Emily Gordon broke the WSU 800m run record for the third consecutive week running a 2:09.30 breaking last week's mark of 2:09.88.

At the Oakland University Elaine Leigh Invitational, freshman Ella McCarty won the javelin, while senior Annabelle Smith placed second in the long jump.
